Greetings friends! Major announcement alert! I have decided to drastically cut back the amount of meat I consume. Why? I believe it’s neither economically or environmentally sustainable to continue consuming meat on a daily basis. I may end up cutting meat out of my diet completely in the future, but as I like to take things one step at a time, I’m settling for only eating meat 3 days a week. At this stage, I’m hesitant to call myself a full-on vegetarian but it’s the easiest way for me to explain to people that I’m not eating meat most days.
Need any motivation to stop eating meat? Want more clarification on my reasons for not eating meat? Check out these links below:

What does this mean for this blog? I will continue to post meat recipes, for all you hungry carnivores. I’m not going to shame people for choosing to eat meat; I only hope to educate and encourage people to seriously cut back for the benefit of their health and the planet. Are you a vegetarian? If so, I would love to hear about why you quit meat, what the transition was like for you, what your diet is like now and your response to the haters out there! Just drop me a comment or shoot me an email at thefscientist(at)gmail(dot)com. I look forward to hearing from y’all!
